This is my advice on how to make Pirozhki from scratch! Follow my steps and you’ll be able to make delicious Pirozhkis in no time:
1. To start, make the dough by combining 3 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, ½ cup of milk, and ¼ cup of melted butter. Knead the dough and leave it in a bowl covered with a towel until it doubles in size.
2. Then, roll out the dough and cut it into 4-inch rounds. Fill each round with any desired filling, such as potatoes, ground beef, mushrooms, or cheese. Pinch and shape the dough around the filling to make a pouch.
3. Finally, place the Pirozhkis on a greased baking sheet and brush each one with a beaten egg. Bake them in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes. Enjoy your homemade Pirozhkis warm or cold!
